Well, what else are we to do on a nice day, except go out and enjoy ourselves?! We couldn’t decide where to go at first, with our contenders being:
- Sherdley Park
- Three Sisters
- The Lake District
- Delamere Forest
But in the end, we went somewhere completelydifferent, as we went to Dunham Massey in Cheshire. I have to say that there were LOTS of people there with doggies and children, all having a whale of a time
When we first got there it was lunchtime, so we decided to have a picnic (Woof Woof). We put down our special picnic rug and all sat down scoffing our grub. I was a bit miffed as I didn’t seem to have as much to eat as mum & dad, so I decided to “stalk” dad for a bit of hit scotch egg…. it DIDN’T work…
However, my disappointment was soon forgotten as after we had eaten, we went for a lovely walk around the grounds of Dunham and we even saw some wild deer. Well…. I say wild, but they seems fairly tame and people were often seen crowding around them to take their photo. To be fair, the deer didn’t seem to mind too much and eventually mum gave in a took a photo of them as well!
The grounds around Dunham are 300 acres so we didn’t get to see it all, but the bits we DID see were just awesome – I even (sort of), got to walk on a log!!! Brilliant xxx
Well, busy day for an old dog like me
Mum and dad took me in the car to met Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard and we all went for a brillo pads walk around the dam. And guess what… mum and dad didn’t even walk me, Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard DID!!! Woof Woof Woof.
We had a great time and even though we all did get VERY VERY muddy, we loved it just the same… lets do it again soon…PLEASE……… xxxx
Hello everyone… how is your weekend going? Anything exciting to report? Oh yes, that’s my job – Woof Woof.
Well, I have been going for lots of lovely walks as usual and on Thursday my mum had something called an “Interview” and I’ll tell you this, I wasn’t invited!! It was at something called a hospital in a place called Manchester and we are all hoping that they say they like her, as she says she is fed up now of having no money….or something…
I personally think it’s great that she is at home all the time, but I do like her to buy me things, so I guess if she hasn’t got a job, then she hasn’t got any money and this does leave me slightly dog treat deficient…. bring on the JOB I say… (good luck mum).. and I should just point out at this moment that dad does buy me lots of treats, but you can never have too many!! xx
Anyway, I also want to wish Great Grandma Jessie a great big “Feel Better Soon” as she was taken into hospital on Thursday night. It’s rotten when you don’t feel your best and she has been feeling so rotten lately.. so big cuddles to GGJ!! xxx
Finally, here is a little video that mum did of the view on our walk on Friday morning… it was gorg xxxx
Well, haven’t we had a lovely morning out?! We have been to Three Sisters, in Bryn, near Wigan this morning and had a lovely walk around the lake and then around the race track. There were lots of people feeding (evil) swans, people playing with radio controlled boats, people doing a walk and (most importantly) LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of dogs having a good time….
I think I am getting used to not being able to walk off the lead now and I still manage to have a good sniff and a bit of run around, as mum & dad do have an 8ft extendable lead that works just great
It was a bit sunny and a bit cold this morning, but it didn’t matter as being out with my pack is FAB whatever the weather. Woof Woof.
Right then, as you can tell from the pictures, I am a tad tired after all this excitement… off to carry on my kip.
Happy Days xxx
Well today has been a fun day as I have been for a lovely little/massive walk with mum & dad. We went for a little walk to “the sign and back” which is a great walk of just under 4 miles that takes us along the canal to Newton-le-Willows and back. We were out about an hour and a half and I was POOPED when we got back.
I have to admit that I have slept most of the day and I think my age is finally catching up with me – well I am 13 you know. Every time dad goes out for a run, I get excited thinking that I might be able to go with him, but the truth is, I am not sure I could keep up anymore….
We have also had some slightly rubbish news this week as Great Grandma Jessie had to go the hospital and the news wasn’t great……lots more trips to the hospital mum says and maybe even another operation… yuk. I am sure that the lovely doctors at Whiston Hospital will look after her though – they had better do, she is ace. x
Right then, off to watch Sherlock with dad… see if I can guess who dunnit.
Well I’ve had a BORING weekend, just spent the weekend cuddling mum & dad and feeling a bit
Mum is having a bit of a tough old time at the moment as not only has she lost her job but Great Grandma Jessie (who is 89 and actually mum’s Gran) is going into hospital tomorrow for an fairly serious operation. It’s something to do with a rumour or tumour or something.., I don’t really understand, but mum & dad seem worried so I guess it can’t be nice
So I guess this blog sends cuddles to mum & dad and big old Peggy cuddles to GGJ and hope everything goes ok tomorrow xxx lots of love Peggy xxx
Woof Woof Woof!!! Honestly, is it really November??? I can’t quite believe it as the weather is lovely and we have just come back from totally awesome trip to Formby beach!!!!
I love going to the beach as the sand is always really soft on my pads and there are always lots and lots of other doggies for me to play with. I even had a little go in the water today with mum & dad and I got to play with a couple of very friendly chocolate Labradors and then I had mum a running race up the beach (I won!).
I think the sound of the water lapping on the beach is magical and I wish we could walk here every day – it reminded me of Bigbury Beach… love it!
Oh, don’t you just love Sundays? I do!! A wonderful day when my pack and I chill right out and catch up on some zzzz.
Mum and dad have been out this morning to meet Grandma Barbara & Grandad Wack for breakfast and even though this was nice for them – they didn’t bring me one single sausage back. What’s that all about??? Still… I thought I saw them bring some sliced turkey back, so there’s still a chance. Woof Woof.
Morning Everyone, how the woof are you all today? I am a mostly Ok with a slightly dicky tummy still, I think I may have to have a trip to the vets next week…..oh well….
But, I am pleased as dad has just told me that mum and dad have an extra day off work this weekend so that we can co and play even more than usual. Woof Woof Woof. We also have our sponsored dog walk “Go Walkies” this weekend in aid of Guide Dogs for Blind People, which I can’t wait for – there will be so many cool things to see and sniff and even some lovely doggies to meet!!! Woof Woof Woof. I think even Grandma Dixon is coming to help on the cake stall and maybe even a couple of guide dogs – how cool would that be?
Other than that, we are hoping for a quiet weekend with a bit of chilling with the odd bit of chicken thrown in. What’s not to like about that eh?
p.s. mum made this cake last night as it is her and dad’s friend Louise’s birthday over the weekend… love a bit of birthday cake I do…
