Morning Morning Morning…. How’s the wooffly Thursday are you today???
I am 30% in a grump and 70% in a happy moody – shall I explain…
Well my 30% grump is because mum and dad haven’t taken me on too many walks this week and mum says that is because they have been a little too busy and sore from all the Shine Training they have been doing. *tuts* I don’t get it, just how tired can two humans be after walking 24 miles over 2 days?!? JUST because mum has got more blisters than toes and dad is tireder that a tired thing, it’s JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! Well, because they are ace and they do take me on loads of walks normally, I will totally forgive them… as long as they take me on a walk tonight *nudge nudge wink wink*
My 70% happy mood is because today is the last day that mum and dad are in work for YONK AND YONKS!!! Due to a wonderful collision of Easter, The Royal Wedding, May Day and Dad’s birthday – they have a woofingly scrumptious 13 day at home with meeeeeeee
I am over the button moon.
We have a few mini plans – like walking 20 miles on Saturday and scoffing Easter Eggs at Grandma Barbara’s on Sunday – but really we just plan to do big woof all. Lots of lazy days with maybe a few DVD’s, gentle pre-shine walks and chicken (for me). How cool is that eh?!
So *looks at you sternly* Mum and dad are doing the Shine Walking Marathon on the 1st of May and I am told that you lot haven’t sponsored them yet???? Are you MAD???? My mum and dad are ACES and they have been training really hard (with my help obviously), and my poor mum’s feet are all swollen and blistered. I think that you should click on the lovely button below without delay and show them some well earned support:

Ok, Ok, but seriously, they are doing great training and I am dead proud of them. The walk starts at the GMEX in Manchester, is through the night and they reckon it will take them about 9 hours. Wow – that’s a lot of footsteps, even despite the fact they have only got 2 feets.
Go and sponsor them, you know you want toooooooo xxx
Hello everyone, how is your Friday shaping up so far? Mine is fan-dabby-dozy as my den is all nice and quiet and my pack seem to have gone out to work.
Mum said that later on we are all going on an 8 mile training walk, which involves us doing 2 loops of Carr Mill Dam. I do think mum and dad are great for doing this, as they could walk anywhere, but chose to walk around the dam so that I can go with them. Woof Woof. 8 miles is about my limit these days, but I love every single second of it, especially the sniffing and running.
Mum also said that her and dad are going to do a half marathon tomorrow as well, but I don’t think I am going on that one as it’s just too far and I don’t want to hold their training up. I might just stay at home and mind the den and hope there will be chicken for tea. Yummy.
Anyway, I also just wanted to say “Get Well Soon” to my Great Grandma Prescott as she has been feeling a bit poorly for the last week or so. I went round to see her on Thursday though to cheer her up a bit, and I think I helped a little bit. xx
Sooo, we have a busy few weeks here in my den, with mum and dad dashing around with lots to do, so this week we have been a little more chilled. I am saying that though, mum and I have re-started our Shine Training, mum went to Preston yesterday for a worky-thing and dad went to Widnes with Grandma Barbara to try (unsuccessfully) to get a suit for Auntie Jenny’s wedding – WHICH IS NEXT WEEKEND!!!!
Still we have much more important things to think about before that as mum is going into hospital tomorrow for a small operation. Don’t worry it’s nothing serious, but non the less, I have promised to look after mum and I am even thinking of training myself to put the kettle on, Aces.
Right then, the den appears to be all quiet and human free, time for a quick sniff of the floor I think – who knows what I will find?!
Oh wow, what a great Sunday we are all having!! Woof Woof. Liverpool have just been Manchester United 3-1 and this makes dad very happy and mum has just made coffee and walnut cakes so big smiles all round. ♥
But you may be wondering why this post is called 6 from 10.. well it’s because mum and dad have walked 10 miles today as part of their Shine Training and I managed to walk the first 6 miles with them… don’t worry, they didn’t just abandon me!!!! They were ingenious as they did a walk that meant we walked sixmiles and then we somehow arrived back at our house. were Mum and dad dropped me off, fed me and left me to have the tiniest kip whilst they went off to finish their walk. Lovely jubbly.
Wow, mum and I rock!! We have just come back from our 5 mile training walk which saw us going to Carr Mill Dam and back. We met lots of doggies and even stopped for a chill when we got to the dam itself. The whole thing was great… mum had her rucksack on and I was running around like a loon, sniffing and playing…… gotta love a bit of Shine Training. Woof Woof
Apparently cupcakes aren’t for dogs?!? Now I had a chat to mum about this, and she told me that dogs should only eat the food in their bowls and other things given to them by their packs, and everything else I should leave alone. Now I am a good dog normally, but can I tell you a secret? The minute mum went into the other room I crept out of my basket and had a cheeky lick of the butter cream blobs that had fallen on the floor – it was YUMMY!! *licks lips*.
When I heard mum coming back, I ran into my basket quickly and I am pretty sure she didn’t hear me.
Although my tummy doesn’t feel too spectacular now, I am sure it doesn’t have anything to do with the raw cake mixture I also snaffled from near the bin. *takes a gaviscon*
Anyway, mum and dad are a little stiff today after walking 9 miles yesterday for their Shine training walk. I didn’t go with them like normal as 9 miles is just a little too far for my 12 year old legs – s’ok though, I stayed at home and just inspected the inside of my eyelids – win win=Woof Woof.
Dad is just watching the football, then later we are all off to Grandma Barbara to have a belated birthday party for Auntie Alison, who was in India for her actual birthday. Let’s hope she had a lovely time with Auntie Jill (who also went) and their “Delhi Belly” didn’t give them too much gip…
Woo Hoo – Love Sunday’s I do. xxxxx
You know, I have been called lots of things in my doggy life, but today I have decided that for the duration of our Shine training I shall be called “Coach Peggy”. If you listen to the stories, I am 12 years old, but this afternoon I have led my pack around 2 loops of Carr Mill Dam which resulted in an 8 mile training walk – don’t I deserve a tickle and a modest round of applause?!?!
As usual and not entirely unexpectedly, I am a little tired now so I will just say this…you think I am great because I’ve walked 8 miles today? Well this week, I have walked 21 miles!!!!
Woof Woof Woof xxx
I am dead proud of my pack I am, tonight we have finished our 3rd walk of the week and we have still got another one to go on Sunday.
We have been going on all different routes and we have become mini explorers – how brilliant. I get to sniff and do other less elegant things in all manner of exotic (ish) places and we are having the time of our lives.
As you can see from my photo, the whole things is exciting but exhausting and I am going back to my bed to dream of chicken cuddles. Woof Woof Woof.
Also this week mum has been to Preston for a worky thing and dad tried unsuccessfully to get a suit for Auntie Jenny’s wedding. Mum is also a little nervous as she’s having a little operation on Saturday – don’t worry it’s nothing serious and I’ve promised to look after her
Right then, just a quick one tonight and now I’m off to watch a bit of Masterchef x
