Well, what else are we to do on a nice day, except go out and enjoy ourselves?! We couldn’t decide where to go at first, with our contenders being:

  • Sherdley Park
  • Three Sisters
  • The Lake District
  • Delamere Forest

But in the end, we went somewhere completelydifferent, as we went to Dunham Massey in Cheshire. I have to say that there were LOTS of people there with doggies and children, all having a whale of a time :)

When we first got there it was lunchtime, so we decided to have a picnic (Woof Woof). We put down our special picnic rug and all sat down scoffing our grub. I was a bit miffed as I didn’t seem to have as much to eat as mum & dad, so I decided to “stalk” dad for a bit of hit scotch egg…. it DIDN’T work… :(

However, my disappointment was soon forgotten as after we had eaten, we went for a lovely walk around the grounds of Dunham and we even saw some wild deer. Well…. I say wild, but they seems fairly tame and people were often seen crowding around them to take their photo. To be fair, the deer didn’t seem to mind too much and eventually mum gave in a took a photo of them as well!

The grounds around Dunham are 300 acres so we didn’t get to see it all, but the bits we DID see were just awesome – I even (sort of), got to walk on a log!!! Brilliant xxx

So I have a good thing to tell you and a not so good thing to tell you. Lets start with the good news:

Today I went through a car wash!!! Well not me personally, but mum took me through in her car!!! It was very noisy and I was worried I was going to get shampoo in my ears.. but actually it was fine and I got a bit bored… (as you can see from mum’s tweet)

But hey, I got to spend time with mum and that’s always a good thing :)

Ok, so there is no avoiding it really, I have something  not so good to tell you. If you have been keeping up to date, you will know that I have been to the vets over the last couple of days for blood tests, as mum and dad were concerned that I was very unsettled and panting an awful lot.

My mum spoke to our vet Anna this afternoon and it turns out I have something called Cushings Disease. I don’t fully understand everything but Anna said that my brain is releasing too much steroid into my system. The rubbish thing about that is, that I might have to have chemotherapy :(   *sighs*

Mum, dad and I haven’t properly decided whether or not if I AM going to have the yukky meds as we want to have another chat to Anna to weigh up the best thing to do…..

So not the best news ever, but it seems that as mum and dad are worried about me, I’ve had an extra walk today and more dog-food that normal. This being ill thing, is working out great for me so far…. ;-) xxx

Woofly nora! There are LOTS of people here today, anyone would think it’s dad’s birthday… well, it sort of WAS yesterday! Woof Woof!!! I decided that we would have a sort of two-day celebration as yesterday, mum, dad and I all spent the day together and then today all the Lysons Family have come to see us and the whole house smells of sausage rolls and cake!! BRILLIANT!!!!

Yesterday, dad and mum went to a restaurant called “The Boot Room” at Cheshire Oaks, which is a Liverpool Football Club themed restaurant  Mum said there were TVs in each booth all showing LFCTv and that it was hard for dad to concentrate on ANYTHING that mum was saying, as he was mesmerized by Jamie Carragher and Louis Suarez!!! :P

Well as you can see from our photos, dad had a fantastic time and he is currently parked in front of the TV watching Liverpool in the FA Cup Final against Chelsea….. and so in the words of dad and Liverpool fans everywhere…..

COME ON RED MEN!!!!!

Well, busy day for an old dog like me ;-) Mum and dad took me in the car to met Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard and we all went for a brillo pads walk around the dam. And guess what… mum and dad didn’t even walk me, Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard DID!!! Woof Woof Woof.

We had a great time and even though we all did get VERY VERY muddy, we loved it just the same… lets do it again soon…PLEASE……… xxxx

Peggy & her Dad

Oh dear, not a great day in our den today as dad has had to have a small trip to A&E with his poorly heart again. Do you remember in 2010 when he had to say in Whiston Hospital for a few days with Atrial Fibrilation? Well the same thing happened this morning when dad was sat at his desk.

Luckily for dad though, he actually works at Warrington Hospital, so he didn’t have far to walk to get the lovely doctors and nurses to check him out.

It turns out that his heart was beating FAR too fast again, so the doctors gave him some medicine in a drip which made him all better.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone in A&E at Warrington Hospital, to dad’s friend Chris who waited with him for a bit and for mum & dad’s friend Louise who also looked after mum a little bit.

Flipping eck, it’s all go isn’t it.. I mean, I haven’t even had a chance to tell you about our dining room flooding yesterday and a plumber, United Utilities and Hydrorod all coming to visit our house or the fact that Great Grandma Jessie has come home today from her stay in Lymewood Court…. I just don’t know how I cope….. oh yes, that’s right…. lots of cuddles, sleep and chicken… Woof Woof xxx

So, as you know, my mum and dad got married on the 25th February and even though I stayed at home to mind the den, mum informs me that they all had a wonderful time.  So, as is the tradition on this ‘ere blog, we have some photos to show you of their big day….. Enjoy :)

At the Vets

So yesterday was a fun day for me – NOT!!! You know how I told you the other day that Anna my vet said I had a cataract… well yesterday I had to go to a big, funny smelling vets in Sutton called Rutland House whilst they checked the pressure in my eyes. The funny coincidence was, was that the vets was in the same building that mum worked in for 11 years when she first started work. It used to be an office furniture company called “Matthews Office Furniture” back then and mum said it looked VERY different now….. Well she would say that wouldn’t she, she hasn’t been there for over 10 years!!!!

Anyways, when we got to the vet, a lady in green put some funny stuff in my eyes called Anna Stetic (or something) and then mum and I went back to the waiting room. It was very odd as my eyes started to feel funny and when I blinked, it was as if I couldn’t feel my eyes at all…. Then after about 15 minutes, the green lady came to get me and took me into a room to do something a bit gross to my eyes with a machine – I didn’t like it very much. I was a bit scared as mum couldn’t come with me, but the green lady was nice and soon enough, I was taken back to mum and I have her a big cuddle and lick.

The upshot it, is that I DON’T have cataracts in my eyes and they think that I am just getting a bit old and things… (well I am 13 you know)…. So the nice green lady sent me home with some tablets (which I hate), that make me feel a bit relaxed and take some of the ache away from my old muscles and joints. Phew.

Also, mum was out all day on Monday too, as she went with Great Grandma Jessie to Clatterbridge Hospital as GGJ had to go for a scan as she is poorly and the doctors are hoping to make her feel a bit better with something called Radiation – or was is a Radiator????? Anyway,  I know that GGJ was a bit nervous, but mum said they had a nice ride in a mini-bus and the bonus is, is that I had a full afternoon’s undisturbed sleep :-)

And finally, (of course), it’s now only 2 weeks on Saturday until Mum & Dad get married and we are all really excited about that – Yippee!!! I just hope that mum manages to get a job soon, as even though I ♥ having her at home, I am also getting tired from all the walking… plus if she has more money then she will be able to buy more dog treats won’t she?!?!?!?

Woof Woof xxx

Oh My Woofly God. I am SO SO SO proud of dad as he has had his very first game for the iPhone published in the App Store. It’s called Super Smoothies and its a really fun game which sees you mix fruit in a glass to create a Smoothie. You’ve then got to drain the Smoothie and get points, but if you don’t get the right colour…. it all goes horribly wrong.

I have been playing it myself this morning on mum’s phone and I KNOW that you are dying to buy it, which you can do from here:

I already give it 10/10! Well Done Dad!!! xxxx

Shaved Chest

Well, I am sat here, quite offended as apparently I have got a fatty lump on my side! Mum noticed it whilst we were away in Anglesey at the weekend and we went to see my vet last night.

Apparently it’s nothing to worry about, but the nice vet man shaved my side and stuck a needle in my lump to double check. I was quite nervous and shaky in the vets as I don’t like it very much, so just to make sure I was calm, dad held my head, mum held my chest and the nurse tickled my bum. 8-O But the fun didn’t stop there….

On our way home we went through the car wash!!! Woof Woof Woof. It was very loud and noisy, but it was VERY exciting – I thought the brushes were going to eat me…… I was on red alert just in case, but dad’s car protected me and I didn’t even get wet or anything. Phew.
