Oh wow, guess what mum, dad and I did today??? We walked 7 whole miles!! Yes that’s right, not 5 or 6, but SEVEN!!!!!!! It took us a little over 2 hours and 20 minutes, but this doesn’t take into account all the times we had to stop because I needed the loo – or in fact when mum or dad needed to “go”
We stopped about half way round and all had a drink and some food – I was sick of slurping our of muddy puddles, so I was chuffed when dad put my collapsible bowl down full of fresh, clean water. Woof Woof. There were also lots of people in the forest and some little children kept wanting to stroke me – which I love. Mum is always really friendly and asks them “do you want to say hello?” – they always do, and I just end of getting tickles from everyone. Brilliant.

I am not going to lie, I am a little tired now, to be honest, I was asleep in the back of mum’s car before we had even left the car park – happy days xxx
So today I decided to take mum & dad to Delamere Forest as it’s one of my favourite dog walks and we haven’t been for ages! Actually, if you do want to see exactly where I have been in the UK, then why not check out my adventure map!!!
Anyway, after that shameless plug, back to today. We have just come back from a wonderful walk around the red route at Delamere Forest and after checking the weather, it seems we have just missed the rain. There were some very lovely people, dogs and no less than 8 horses out today and we even stopped for a chat with a a labradoodle cross called Billy and his mum. I made friends with Labradors, Spaniels, Westies, Weimaraners and even x-breeds like my good self…. and when I say “made friends” I do of course mean “ran away from”…..
It was dad’s first big walk since his stay in hospital, well actually we did a huntsman loop last week, but today was his first “official” big walk. He has just told me that he’s a bit tired, but I am sure a bath and the packet of crisps he is eating will make him feel him better!
Well here are our photos and you can see that it was totally ace!

Wowee, what a gloriously lovely day! It has been brill for two reasons, 1) because it has been sunny and warm all day and 2) because my pack and I have all been to Delamere Forest for a walk. We did the red route which I have told you about before and it was aces. I go off the lead almost the whole way round and today I even found some water to go in. Now I am a bit of a water novice, as I only really had a go in water a couple of years ago for the first time, but I am getting better and today went in unprompted almost up to my doggy elbows!!
Woof Woof.
We had to stop about half way round the 3 mile walk as it was “roasting” as my mum puts it and we all needed a drink and a rest. Mum & dad got out my collapsible bowl and I had a really good slurp of water. *licks lips*. I met lots of doggy friends along the way and everyone seemed to be having a really good day.
When I had finished my 40 winks, we carried on with our walk which eventually led us back to Linmere Visitors Centre. Phew… wanna see our photos…..
As you can see from the last photo, dad was shattered and so was I when we got home. It’s really hard work being 11½ and walking for nearly an hour in the sunny sunshine you know…. *pants* Anyway, dad reliably informs me that tonight is England’s first game in the World Cup against USA and I have got to say a massive WOOF WOOF which is, of course, dog for Come on England!!!!
I am shattered… you wanna know why? Well we were very kindly invited by Phoenix’s mum Kim to go on a dog walk in Delamere Forest with them and lots of other Alaskan Malamutes! There were about 20 or so Mals and they were all twice the size of me – I was a bit scared in places. Anyway, my mum and Phoenix’s mum finally got to meet and we all set off on a lovely walk around the forest. As usual, my mum had her cameras at the ready….. here you go:
and here is the route we took:
and last of all, here is the customary video…..
So we would like to say a big Woofly thank you to Kim, Dave, Phoenix & Merlin for inviting us today – we had a lovely lovely walk.
Happy Easter
Love
Peggy xx
Phew, I am shattered! I have just come back from Delamere Forest where we did about 4 ½ mile run. It was well warm, but it didn’t bother me, I am HARD I am. The run took us about an hour and we did stop after 30 minutes so that I could have a drink. Dad got me a collapsible water bowl (which is brilliant) so that when we are out on walks so that he can fold it up and put it in his rucksack and then get it out when I need a drink. I was properly thirsty today and had a massive slurp of water.
Anyway, mum & dad ran with me and they had a lovely time too. It’s only a month now until Mum & Dad run the Manchester 10k, so we still have loads of time to get some more training in. WHAT could be better? Erm Chicken I think xx
Hello everyone, Peggy-dog here at your service! Ask me where we have been today, ask me, ask me…. yep, you might have guessed from the post title, we have been to Delamere Forest in Cheshire. It was great and the best part was, it was covered in snow!!!! I had the best, best day and spent the entire time legging around, sniffing stuff and generally having a whale of a time. We went to Delamere mainly because mum & dad are training for the Manchester 10k and this was part of their training plan and we went today because my little cousin Lola-Mai (she is a human) is 3 years old tomorrow and mum & dad are going to the Chill Factore to help her celebrate.
There were loads of people there and tons of doggy friends for me to meet. In the car park just before we came home, we met a friendly golden lab. The trouble was, was that he was on the lead and when he came running over to me to say hello, he pulled his dad so much that he made him skid like a mad fool across the ice and snow. Mum couldn’t help herself and starting laughing rather indiscreetly! It was dead funny though…. don’t dad’s know that 4 paws are much better
As always, mum took some photos of me, so check them out. Yay Delamere!! Woof Woof!!
