So dogbloggers, is that the sun I can see shining out of the window? I had almost forgotten what that was like
It’s not particularly warm though as dad and I have just come back from a little walk and it was still quite frozzy. Dad is actually at home for a couple of days as he is working on a top secret (not so secret) project and has been filling his time cuddling me, working on the computer and watching scary films and things that mum doesn’t like.
Oh, mum is around too, she is just going to work normal-like and last night she even went to cake decorating class. Now I am not sure exactly what a cake is, but her bags really smelled all sweet and lovely when she came back, so it MUST be good..
*thinks* I might have to have a little rummage in the cake bag when mum and dad aren’t looking *giggles*
Anyway, I think I will go and see if dad is ready for lunch and to see if he fancies watching another episode of 24 with me…… DAAAAADDDDDDDD xxx
Hello there dogbloggers!! Woof Woof Woof… how are you this blustery Wednesday morning? Thought you might like an update about my whole “dad situation”. Well I am pleased to report he is much much better and is starting to feel a little more normal. He even took me for a walk yesterday on the park and then to Grandma Dixon’s to see Lola – Lola actually drew a picture of me and it was brilliant! He is going to be off with me for the rest of this week at the very least and maybe even next week too.
So, ah yes, a countdown… well I have been counting on all my toes on all my paws and I have concluded that as of today…..
- It is 5 weeks until my baby cousin Tilly is 1
- It is 14 weeks until Christmas
- it is 14 weeks until my birthday
- It is 15 weeks until we go to Centre Parcs
- It is 20 weeks until my little cousin Lola is 5
- It is 28 weeks until my Auntie Jenny gets married
- It is 97 weeks until the London 2012 Olympics
We also have a million birthdays and anniversaries in the next 4 years or so, I will have to make sure I have my best collar ready for all special occasions!

Yes, we have had a very stressful week as dad has had a poorly heart and has been in Whiston Hospital.
It started on Monday night when dad started to feel ill and mum had to take him first to the doctor and then Accident & Emergency. Its a very long story (most of which I don’t quite understand) but what I do know is that is heart was beating WAY too fast and he had to stay on ward 1E (which is the Coronary Care Ward) for a couple of days.
I am glad to say though that thanks to the excellent care of all the lovely doctors & nurses on in A&E, Resus and on the ward, he is back home with a heart that that is “plumb normal”. – BRILLIANT !!!!!
We were all very very worried about him and mum even had a cry when she came home from visiting, but I helped her by being good and licking her face when she was sad and worried.
Here is dad in hospital….

So I think even though dad is home, he is quite tired and drained, so he might be at home with me for a few days – woof woof. Actually, I have really missed him and I am glad he is back home safe and feeling better.
Welcome home dad!!! xxxxxxx
Wow, aren’t I a lucky doggy!! Dad is at home with me ALL DAY TODAY!!! He is very excited about some game called ModNation Racers and mum said that this is what he is going to do all day today. I don’t care really, as long as he takes me for a walk
Mum is at smelly work so dad and I are hoping that she hurries up and comes home soon. Believe it or not, I am writing this from underneath mum & dad’s bed!!! It’s a special treat for me whilst dad is off. I know it sounds weird, but I actually like it under their bed - I feel all safe, like it’s my own special den.
At the weekend we also have exciting things happening as mum is having her hair straightened and we are going to the Lake District to help celebrate Auntie Jill’s birthday – happy days xxx
I just wanted to say a massive Happy Birthday to my dad! If he was a dog he would only be 5.29 years old (I will let you work out how old he is in human years).
Even though it was mum who originally adopted me, it was dad who “bought” me for her and I love him loads and loads. He always has a quite word with me before bed to see if I’ve had a nice day and he always waves to me in the car when he is going to work. How nice is that?
Thanks dad for looking after me so woofly, and hope you have a lovely day. xxx Lots of Love Peggy* xxx
*aka dog face, or doggington, or pegler, or darling, or dogler, or doghead, or pegler narn, or Pegginton rem, or Peggy dog!
Woof Woof!!!
p.s. hope you like your present, it took mum and I ages!!!! :-)
So I don’t know if you remember, but about 6 months or so ago, mum & dad had come to the end of their tether with me destroying parts of the house and so decided to embark upon a very strict morning walk routine. This involved either mum or dad (they take it in turns) taking me out for a route march/walk/run every morning without fail so that I just want to sleep when I am left alone rather than eat doors in fright. So this is exactly what we have been doing and I have to say it has worked really well and I feel MUCH calmer and happier during the day.
Mum and dad have been sort of training for the Manchester 10k on the 16th May – dad more than mum to be fair – and I thought it would be nice of me to take dad out for a run this morning…. Here we are coming back at 7:00 after a 3.7 mile run…
I have to say that I think we both look as fresh as a daisy…. must be all that lamb I ate last night Woof Woof.
My dad is amazing – no really brilliant. I won’t go into details (because it’s gross), but he did something so lovely and chivalrous for me this morning that my mum gave him a big hug and I felt like licking his face all over. ![]()
Thanks Dad xxx

Peggy & her Dad
Oh no, I have had to spend most of the night looking after dad as he isn’t feeling too well.
He’s got a rotten, stinky cold and is feeling really rubbish.
He felt so bad that he got up and came to sleep downstairs with me in the night as mum needed her sleep for work. He isn’t even going to work today and is going to stay in bed with his lemsips and his tissues and concentrate on getting better.
I have promised mum that I will look after him all day today and try not to hassle him too much when I want a wee or when the postman comes. Woof Woof x
I’m very proud if dad as he has been quoted on an NHS website! His real name is Michael Lysons and he is quoted right at the bottom if the article….. Follow this link to see: Dad’s article

Davina McCall loves my dad – she retweeted one of his tweets!!! (See top listing) He is WELL chuffed!!! P.s. Dad aka @lordmooch
