Dog bloggers, we are now home safe and sound after a lovely weekend in Castlerigg, Keswick. We stayed at Low Nest Farm and I have to say that I thought our room and the whole place was perfect!! We were greeted by the lovely owner and she had even prepared a lovely welcome basket for me – how nice is that eh??  Mum and dad had a great big bed and we also had a comfy couch and big bathroom – brilliant. One of the bestest things for mum and dad about the accommodation was that even though it is a B&B, there is also a guest kitchen, so they were able to make themselves some tea both nights we were there!! Aces.

The farm has absolutely stunning views and is only about a 20 minute walk from Castlerigg Stone Circle… even better than that, it’s only about a 5 minute drive out of Keswick itself. Woof Woof Woof. We would highly recommend it, and after a pack meeting, we are giving it 9/10 and it only loses a mark as our room didn’t have a bath – although we feel a bit mean as we are SURE the other rooms do have baths. Overall it was magnificent and we can’t wait to go back.

Oh pups, it’s safe to say we are thoroughly enjoying ourselves. My day couldn’t have started any better, with a short, yet giddy scamp around the paddock with dad. When we got back, we all had a scrummy cooked breakfast in the communal dining room (I was totally allowed to go too) and then off we went into Keswick.

We decided to walk along the railway footpath as this was the route dad did as part of his trail race last September. Overall we walked 5.4 miles, which included stunning waterfalls, amazing rivers, a cool boardwalk, some brilliant bridges and a MASSIVELY STEEP hill which made mum out of puff!! Ace.

After our walk we went to a pub (almost unheard of) for lunch. Again I was totally allowed in and took position under mum and dads table for a little nosy/kip. Unfortunately mum’s food wasn’t too nice and the big waiter man had to give dad his money back, but never the less, we enjoyed the sit down and chillax.

With lunch ticked off, we had did a little light shopping (love it) and went to a supermarket called Booths and then we made our way back to Low Nest Farm where we are now watching TV *hunts for slippers*

What a woofly great day!! I am writing this whilst giggling at Comic Relief and sat in our lovely room-type-cottage-type thing. Ace.

It took us about 2hrs to get here and I’m going to be honest, I was quite warm in the car, despite the air conditioning, so I was all hot and bothered when we eventually arrived in Keswick. But once we’d had a sandwich and I got some LOVELY bacon from the cafe owner, we were ready to rock and roll What we actually did was go shopping and the best part was…. I am allowed in ALL the shops WOOF WOOF, it was just a pity they didn’t have the top I wanted in my size (he he)

After our shopping, we came to our accommodation & were very pleased as not only is our room brilliant, but the views from it are stunning!!! The lovely owner showed us around and then before I knew it, we were off out for a walk. Mum and dad took me to Castlerigg Stone Circle, which is a little like a small Stonehenge – it was a scrumptious walk and I was a bit hungry so I might (definitely) have eaten some rabbit poo – oops

We’ve had a great day and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Night all x
