How wonderful, mum, dad and I have just realised that my blog is pretty much 4 years old now – Yippee!!!! Mum helped me start this blog in March 2008 and we have just a whale of a time documenting what goes one in my lovely little life.
I really have had some ups and downs over the last 4 years, with all my accidents, wonderful holidays and days out! At 13, I am getting on a bit now and whilst I have slowed down quite a lot and I may be going a little deaf, it doesn’t make me any less brilliant or ready for a jolly good walk!! Woof Woof Woof.
Life is a bit fab isn’t it….. and I should know….
OO we have had a busy couple of days. It was mum’s birthday on Wednesday and then Great Grandma Jessie had her scary operation. Mum could only celebrate her birthday a little bit on Wednesday has she had to take GGJ to the hosptial in the afternoon and then again the day after.
Mum also, stayed at GGJ’s bungalow on Thursday night to make sure she was ok. Even though the op was a bit scary, GGJ is fine and dandy thankfully – phew… no actually I think that deserves a massive WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!
Yesterday, mum & dad went to Liverpool to pick up mum’s birthday cupcakes. Dad got them from Laura’s Little Bakery in Liverpool and as you can see from the pictures below, they were scrummy. She does lots of flavours, but mum ordered…
- Lemon Meringue (with popping candy)
- Salted Caramel
- Chocolate
- Carrot Cake (which was substituted for “Sundae” cakes due to technical issues….)
Mum said that by far, they are the BEST cupcakes she has EVER tasted – and that is saying something!!!
Then today everyone went to the Michael Caines’ Restaurant at Abode Hotel in Chester. They had some scrummy food, including:
- Tomato Risotto
- Pea Ravioli with a Quails Egg and Mint Foam
- Lamb with Black Pudding
- Sea Bream with Potatoes
- Vanilla Panna cotta with a Rhubarb Soup
- Lemon Meringue
- Cheese Board
with an extra special Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut parfait just for mum as it was her Birthday!!!! She also got some awesome presents and all-in-all, had a fabbo day.
Check out our photos….
My mum is the best mum in the world. It’s her birthday today so to celebrate, I’m going to woof a little song for her. Join in if you know it!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!

As you can see from the list above, we are all going to be having a fine old time over the next couple of year as we have got lots and lots of birthday, anniversaries and other celebrations….. This does of course mean, I will be on “dropped chicken” patrol and available for all manner of card signings and present wrapping!! Yippee!!!
Just a quick little blog to say Happy Birthday to my littlest cousin Tilly-Rose who is a big ONE YEAR OLD TODAY!!! Mum & dad have just come back from her party and she gots LOADS of presents.
Mum also reliably informs me that Grandma Dixon and Tilly do an EXCELLENT rendition of “Row Your Boat”!! Wanna see?
So…. here is what is happening this week…..
- On Monday it was Mum & Dad’s Anniversary and they have been together 7 years!!
- Tomorrow it is Grandma & Grandad Dixon’s 38th Wedding Anniversary
- We all go to the Lake District at the weekend to celebrate mum & dad’s anniversary
- It is my littlest cousin Tilly’s 1st birthday on Sunday
So you can see, we have a lot to do! Well, actually, I haven’t got ANYTHING to do, my particular role around these types of event are threefold:
Job Number 1
I usually greet everyone when either they or I arrive, pushing my head towards them for tickles.
Job Number 2:
I hoover up any food that happens to be dropped or “placed” on the floor near me.
Job Number 3:
I lie down for a zzz in all the places people want to sit or put down their feet/bag/cup.
I have actually gotten quite good at all 3 jobs. But the thing I am looking forward to the most is going back up the Lake District again this weekend. We are going back to the Rusland Pool Hotel and mum told me that we might be going for a walk to another waterfall… Woof Woof. xx
It’s birthday time in the den – yay!
Mum is…one year older; We don’t give away our ages!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Mum!
Happy Birthday to you!
Have a great day – I love you *big licks*
P.S. Can I have some ice cream later?
I just wanted to say a massive Happy Birthday to my dad! If he was a dog he would only be 5.29 years old (I will let you work out how old he is in human years).
Even though it was mum who originally adopted me, it was dad who “bought” me for her and I love him loads and loads. He always has a quite word with me before bed to see if I’ve had a nice day and he always waves to me in the car when he is going to work. How nice is that?
Thanks dad for looking after me so woofly, and hope you have a lovely day. xxx Lots of Love Peggy* xxx
*aka dog face, or doggington, or pegler, or darling, or dogler, or doghead, or pegler narn, or Pegginton rem, or Peggy dog!
Woof Woof!!!
p.s. hope you like your present, it took mum and I ages!!!! :-)
So apparently, mum & dad have been out to a party today to celebrate Megan Ruby Prescott’s 1st birthday. Now I don’t think I have ever met Megan, but I have met her dad Mark and I have definitely met her doggy Max. In fact, after mum showed me this video I am a little worried dad might be wanting to keep Max – does he not realise that I am top dog (well mum is, but I am the best furry one!!!)
