Here is the news – I am BORED of watching House. My mum and dad are watching Dr Gregory House and I have come to the conclusion that he isn’t very nice at all. He seems to be mean to the other humans in white coats and he seems to eat LOTS of treats out of bottle. Although I have NEVER had a dog treat called “Vicodin” – weird.
Also, mum & dad have been to see Great Grandma Jessie today and mum said that she still isn’t feeling the best. So I think I will have to send her a massive Peggy cuddle and the next time I see her, I might even let her tickle me…. lucky Gran. x

I think it’s fair to say that mum and I are going through a period of adjustment with our new “lead only” walks. As I mentioned the other day, due to my advancing years, I am going a bit deaf and so can’t always hear when mum or dad shout me back. Mum reckons that this means that I might not be safe and that I might get lost
Soooo, from now on, unless I am in an enclosed space, mum and dad are just going to walk me on my lead. It’s not too bad as when we go on the field, we used my extendable lead (shown below):
This does mean that whilst I don’t get complete freedom, I still get to have a sniff around – Woof Woof Woof. The only problem I can see so far, is my penchant for zig zag walking. What I mean, is that I like to sniff a bit on the left and then a bit on the right and then a bit on the left again…. So I suppose, now that I am on the lead, there is potential for mum, my lead and I getting a bit twisted… oops
Still, I guess it’s better to be a bit twisted than lost, innit xxx
I just wanted to wish my Great Grandma Jessie a very Happy 90th Birthday!!!
She’s not been feeling very well of late & is even living in a local nursing home until she feels better
But she is getting the best care possible and I just hope she has a fab day & enjoys the cake mum made for her.
Woof woof xxx
Oh my goodness me, I am one TIRED old dog!! Mum and I have just come back from a mini-adventure. We were a bit tired of our normal walks, so decided to get the bus into St Helens and then walk home, and then it exactly what we did!
I am very used to public transport and things now, so it was no bother and I rode that bus like a professional. The lady I sort of sat next to, told mum she had dogs at home and (as usual), I got tickles all the way to St Helens. Woof Woof.
Once we got off the bus, we just had a nice trot home and we even stopped half way so that mum and I could both have a drink. Happy Days xxx
p.s. I walked over 3 miles today…. not bad for an old timer…
Today, my mum and dad came to a decision after a few months of wrangling with it. The thing is, is that I am over 13 years old now and the fact of the matter is, is that I am going a little deaf.
This means that when I get giddy and run around on walks, I can’t always hear mum & dad when they call me back.
So my pack are worried I might get lost and soooo… from now on, unless we are in an enclosed area, they said that I can no longer walk off the lead. This makes me a little sad as I LOVE having a good old run around, but I understand that I might not be safe on my own.
It’s just a symptom of old age I guess and as long as I can still go for walks, then I am still a VERY happy dogster. Woof Woof.xxx
Well I have to say that I have been a little too busy to blog for the last week, what with mum & dad’s wedding and then our honeymoon!!! Yes, I did say “our” honeymoon, as I did of course go with the happy couple (Woof Woof).
Mum & Dad said they had a perfect day and I have to say that people who I did see on the day (Mum, Dad and Grandad Dixon), all looked pretty lovely and very posh indeed.
Now I know you are wondering whether or not I attended the ceremony, but to be honest with you, I think human ceremonys are a bit daft and there aren’t as much chicken or dog treats as you would imagine.
Sooooo….. even though we haven’t got any wedding photos to show you just yet (something called a photographer is still sorting them out)… we DO have photo of our little honeymoon trip to Armathwaite Hall in the lake district. We had an amazing time and to say we chilled out is an understatement. Gorgeous food, beautiful surroundings, brilliant staff and dogs welcome – we couldn’t have asked for more!! I even got my own basket, dog treats and poo bags- Woof Woof Woof.
NB.. There may have been reports of me sneaking on the bed when mum & dad went for breakfast and snuffling between the pillows and going to sleep… but seeing as I’m not allowed on the bed, I am going to deny this categorically!!!
But most importantly -
Massive
Congratulations to my mum & dad – the new Mr & Mrs Lysons xxxx
