Wowee, what a gloriously lovely day! It has been brill for two reasons, 1) because it has been sunny and warm all day and 2) because my pack and I have all been to Delamere Forest for a walk. We did the red route which I have told you about before and it was aces. I go off the lead almost the whole way round and today I even found some water to go in. Now I am a bit of a water novice, as I only really had a go in water a couple of years ago for the first time, but I am getting better and today went in unprompted almost up to my doggy elbows!! :-) Woof Woof.

We had to stop about half way round the 3 mile walk as it was “roasting” as my mum puts it and we all needed a drink and a rest. Mum & dad got out my collapsible bowl and I had a really good slurp of water. *licks lips*. I met lots of doggy friends along the way and everyone seemed to be having a really good day.

When I had finished my 40 winks, we carried on with our walk which eventually led us back to Linmere Visitors Centre. Phew… wanna see our photos…..

As you can see from the last photo, dad was shattered and so was I when we got home. It’s really hard work being 11½ and walking for nearly an hour in the sunny sunshine you know…. *pants* Anyway, dad reliably informs me that tonight  is England’s first game in the World Cup against USA and I have got to say a massive WOOF WOOF which is, of course, dog for Come on England!!!!

Well well well, I am a little tired now after the very first Mutt Club Walk of 2010. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the sun even came out to join us. We walked for just over an hour and met lots of other doggies along the way…. we even saw a few runners who were no doubt inspired by the fact that it is the London Marathon today!

We had such a woofly time and so much so that we are thinking of doing it all again next month. If you fancy joining us, click here for further details. Everyone is welcome – mutt or no mutt!

As always, mum took some photos and here they are:

So another day, another walk and this one was a muddy one! We went around stinky brook – so call as it STINKS!! Woof Woof. Here is our route:

We had a wonderful time sniffing and chatting (I sniffed, they chatted) and it was brill. I was laughing at mum & dad as they both dressed in mutliple layers and in their waterproof clothes as the sky was dark and it looked cold out…. However, half way around the walk they were both boiling and peeling layers off at a million miles an hour :-)

Anyway, we did have a lovely time, but the only fly in the ointment was when we got back – they made me have a bath!!!! Yuk Yuk Yuk…… Mum thinks I look cute all wet, but I am NOT convinced!

Hello there you might dogbloggers and how are you all doing today? I am what you might called “pooped”. Today my pack and I went on a walk around Carr Mill Dam and it took us 1 hour and 37 minutes in which we walked a total of 3.67 miles. Phew….  Click here to see our route.

We didn’t actually intend to walk as far as we did, we were just enjoying ourselves so much we just carried on going. We had a ball and I don’t think I have done that much running around and sniffing since we went geo-caching in Ffestiniog! Mum and dad spent their time chatting and “plopping” stones into  the canal and I just bobbled along doing my own thing – posing for photos and things when required :-)

Also, mum just HAD to use her video camera and made you all a little movie:

I am on it loads!!! Well that’s enough from me now – I think my photos and video speak for themselves….. p.s. I have nothing to do with this last video!! *tuts*

Hello there….. here I am again, filling you in on what an exciting Sunday I have had so far. Well first thing this morning mum took me to the local shop for supplies and it was a bit frozzy cold but great to get out early on a Sunday morning.

Then when dad got up, we went to do family visits, first to see Auntie Jenny and all the Dixon-Thomas family. Everyone was a bit :-(  when we got to Auntie Jenny’s as my gorgeous little cousin Lola was feeling really poorly and not  in the best mood for visitors and even baby Tilly was having 40 winks. So we just stayed a little while and picked up some lovely photos that we were waiting for.

After that we went on to see my Great Grandma Prescott who is almost 88 years old. She was in fine fettle and she even has a great big window which I love to sit and stare out of….

Then when we got back and after we had some lunch, mum, dad and I all went out for a little run down to the canal. Now mum said she wasn’t really “feeling it” so we didn’t do quite as much as we planned – but it was ace all the same. It was quite muddy on the paths, so mum had to clean me off when we got back – I love it really :-)

Well, everyone is back to work tomorrow and mum still hasn’t got her driving licence back – so it’s on the train again for her. Woof Woof. Blog you soon all you lovely puppies xxx

image1861140168.jpgWhy a day of excitement? Well firstly I made mum get up at 8:30 this morning as I needed to go out (she didn’t look best pleased). Then, when dad got up, we all went for a walk down to the canal and it was more icy than ever!

Mum and I didn’t have too much trouble with the slippy stuff as we’ve both got special spiky claws on our feet, but dad did have the odd wobble from time to time :-) I met loads of doggy friends on our walk and even some boys who were sledding. :-)

We had only just back from our walk before we were off out again to Widnes to see Grandma Barbie & Grandad Wack, Woof Woof! We all had some lovely lunch and then guess what… Auntie Jill & Uncle Richard turned up!! .

What a woofly brilliant afternoon!! To be honest I’m pooped and almost glad to be home to have a zzz.

I am a very lucky doggy xx

image479137217.jpgMorning all, how are you today? Today is the penultimate day of 2009 and guess what… It’s RAINING! We had planned to go to Delamere Forest but not sure if we will now (who knows), but I think we still might go for a walk.

Tomorrow is New Years Eve and this means a day of chilling and an evening at Auntie Jill’s house to bring in the new year! I’ve had a brill year and despite my little operation earlier this year, have been (thankfully) vet free!!!

Now then, I think it might be time to throw the sad eyes on mum to see if I can get her motivated! Xx

Update:

Well, I have more news, we DID try to go to Delamere, even though the weather was forecast rain, but we only got a few miles away from our house and this happened:

Soooo we decided that we would go to Carr Mill Dam for a little walk around, but when we go there, the paths were SO icy still,  that we got no further than a few yards before we gave up :-) So in the end, mum decided to just walk me home and dad came home and made us both a scrummy lunch. Oh well, I still got a longish walk (even if it was on the lead) and I even got to see a shire horse. Happy days. x

Woof Woof.

Hey there you lot!!! Woof Woof Woof!!! I am in a brilliant mood today as dad took me out this morning to the sign &  back (which for those of you not in the know, is a walk along our local canal to a sign in Newton-le-Willows that says “Welcome to St Helens”).

It was properly frozzy cold this morning, but I didn’t mind and spent most of my time sniffing and running around acting my usual daft self. Mum didn’t come with us, as she has still got the coughing lerg and was all tucked up in bed. Do you want to see the pictures that dad took of me?

Well I think I will see if I can persuade mum to take me out again later as I think it might help her poorly chest :-( Dad is watching the football at the moment (Portsmouth v Liverpool) and then later we are excited as it’s the final of Strictly Come Dancing!!! (C’mon Chris & Ola!) xx

Peggy Sleeps

Hello everyone, how are you doing? I am not feeling very well today :-( I was sick last night at the top of the stairs, and again in the dining room overnight. Mum & dad said they think there might have been a bit of blood in it, so I am going to the vets tonight to say hello to my lovely vet Anna and to see what she thinks. I am sure it will be fine.

I have been for a little walk this morning with mum, but we just went to the Huntsman Grass and I had a wee and we went home.  I am just waiting for the rest of the pack to come home from work then they can give me a cuddle and I can give everybody a great big lick!

p.s. this is me on our frozzy walk yesterday morning! I LOVED it!. xx
