Oh my goodness, what a wonderful day we have had, but boy I am SO tired!!! Well you know how I told you yesterday that we were going to Pendle today, well we DID and it was amazing
Mum got up first, then dad and we all had breakfast. We were on the road for 9:30 and off to Pendle we went.
We met Auntie Jill & Uncle Richard in the Barley Green Car Park and then we started our ascent of Pendle Hill. For the most part of our walk, I wasn’t allowed off the lead as there are lots of sheep and cows in the surrounding fields as I mighthave been known to go a little bit mental at the odd farm animal
(Allegedly!)
Anyway, our walk started off on the flat with lots of funny stiles and gates to go through and then we got to Pendle Hill itself. It was quite hard going and we had 2-3 stops along the way to catch our breath and have a little drink. My best stop was when dad gave me some dog biscuits anda drink out of my special collapsible bowl. I had been feeling quite tired till that point, but the biscuits and water gave me that little boost of energy and I shot off to the top.
Here is the video mum made when we stopped.
Once we got past the stony steep bit, the very top ridge part was quite green and flat, so mum let me off lead and we all walked to the very pinnacle…. Woof Woof. Wanna see our pictures?

Our walk was doubley brill as Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard got to walk me for a bit, although Auntie Jill did try to strangle me going through one of the stiles!!
We had such a fantastic time, and as you can see from the last picture, I slept most of the way home. The only down side of the day, was that dad BATHED me when we got home claiming I smelt “Doggy”!!! What the woofing heck does he want me to smell like… a cat? *tuts*. But I am over it now, and just revelling in the wonderfulness that was today.
xx
Oh flippin eck, I can hardly keep my paws steady enough to type this little blog as I am SO excited about the weekend. Our plans go something like this:
Friday
The day for me is a day at my creche and dad will pick me up about 16:15. Then he and I will go home and no doubt mum will be waiting for us both with a big hug (brilliant!). Then we will have our tea (tonight it’s Salmon Fishcakes for them and Nature’s Choice for me!). After that, maybe a small walk around the field and then onto the main event….

This is mum’s all time favourite show (well in the top 10) and she just loves it. Something about the sequins and dancing and things and she loves it SO much, she has applied for tickets to go to London to watch it being record in BBC Television Centre. She was telling me that its a random draw though, so we will just have to keep our paws crossed.
Saturday
Saturday is going to be a brilliant day as our plan is to walk up Pendle Hill. We kind of attempted it a couple of weeks ago, but we went to the wrong place and I was still recovering from having a a poorly paw - so we just did part of the Witches trail instead. But this time, we are going for it…. I will let you know. Oh, and dad has made me tell you that Liverpool are on the TV on Saturday evening, so we have to be back in time for that. Woof Woof!
Sunday
Sunday is also going to be a lovely day, as we are going to the christening of the very beautiful Megan Ruby at Haydock Methodist Church. The afterward “do” is going to be at Haydock Cricket Club but mum has just told me that I am not allowed at either
But I suppose that means that I will get to sleep in the house on my own and just chill out. How fab is that eh?!
Well I am tired after typing all that, so time for a zzzzz I think ….. I will let you know how it all goes…. xx
WHAT an exciting day we have had!!! Due to my poorly paw, I haven’t been officially allowed out on any walks or anything, but mum & dad thought that we would go out for a little trip tpday as it is August Bank Holiday. We decided to go to Pendle Hill which is in Lancashire and even though the weather was forecast rain, we got all suited and booted and went anyway.
It was brilliant as it didn’t even rain one drop
and in fact the weather was quite warm. We didn’t quite make it up Pendle Hill itself (as we weren’t sure where to go), but we did have a lovely walk for about an hour in Barrowford which started right near Pendle Heritage Centre. We followed the river and eventually walked up a smallish hill which was full of all kinds of smelly cow dung. Now mum doesn’t want me to tell you all this, but both her & dad stepped in cow pats, believing them to be stones and got their shoes more than a little messy – they laughed though, it was their own stupid fault!
We had a fab time and if my paw had been a bit better we might have walked the Pendle Witches trail, but after about an hour my poorly paw starting giving me some grief and I had to limp a little
But it was brilliant to be out in the fresh air with lots of lovely new smells, and as usual, mum took some fab photos…
I think mum loves that camera more than she loves me sometimes… (just kidding mum). Anyway, Pendle is my new favourtie place.. Woof Woof!!
