Hello all, just to let you know that as reported the other day, Peggy has been into the vets today for a biopsy. I have just spoken to the Vet Nurse and she told me that Peggy has her little op and is fine and dandy. I am going to pick her up later – so I will let you know how she is and we will keep our fingers crossed that it isn’t anything scary.

Snowman Ainscough

Hey there dog blog readers, Just thought I would show you the amazing snowman that my friends Ben, Alice & Jack Ainscough made this afternoon. Isn’t it brilliant! I think it is the best snowman that I have ever seen.

I don’t know if you have noticed, but IT’S SNOWING!!!!! Not even messing about sleet rubbish, actually genuine snow!!! Mum was home from work slightly earlier than normal, so we went out on the field at the bottom of our road for a run about in the snow. I like LOVE the snow, it’s my second favourite kind of weather next to force 10 gales See mine & mum’s pictures and our little video. Enjoy xx
 

Hello there dogblog readers I am gain, checking in with you all. Some of you might read dogblog all the time, but others might be wondering who I am am what I am like? So to help this process along, here are 5 things that you may not know about me….

1. I love to sleep near to radiator and even though my ear touches the bottom of if (and it is RED HOT) I don’t move! Instead, my ear just flicks away every so often to stop me getting sleepy radiator burns!!
2. I am not often allowed in mum & dad’s bedroom, but when I do I love it. ♥ The only time I don’t really like it, is when mum uses her water squirty thing for her hair and she “gets me”. I dive under the bed (with a clearance of 1 x Peggy + 1″) in 2 seconds flat. Don’t tell anyone, but I quite like it under there – I feel snug as a bug :-)
3. I have a very rare talent and it’s a wonder I haven’t been on This Morning or Loose Women or something. You know scotch eggs? The ones with the sausage meat around the egg bit? Well I can eat all the sausage meat off the egg, without making a single dent in the egg part itself. I am champion at this and to finish I usually roll the egg around the living room carpet for at least 10 minutes before I actually start to eat it. Mum says it makes the carpet smell funny, but who cares? I am a genius dog Woof Woof!
4. I steal things. Just mum & dad’s things. My favourite things to steal are tea towels, socks, gloves, woolly hats and glasses. Yes that’s right glasses. Mum wears contact lenses but also has glasses which she often leaves around the house. Once, I stole them and hid them in my basket for 2 days before she found them. I am lucky as somehow she thought this was cute and just gave me a cuddle. I don’t ever do anything horrible to the things I steal, I just hide them in my basket because they smell of mum and dad and I love it – and them. xx
5. I can run faster than a speeding bullet – no really – dead dead fast. I wear a cat bell on my collar when we go for a walk, so even if mum & dad can’t see me, they can hear me. I used to run off all the time when I first came to live with mum & dad, but not so much any more. Dad sometimes tries to race me (often with a large head start) and even though I am 10 (which is 70 in human years), I beat him every time  *does victory dance*. hehehe

It’s the weekend again and having just been for a mini walk to the spar with Dad, we are going out again soon for a walk down to the canal. With the dark nights that winter brings, we do go out for walks but it does mean that I always have to walk on the lead. Unless mum gets home from work mega early, we can only walk on the road as opposed to the fields or path as it’s too dark for me to run free and not safe for mum. 

Soooo, today we are going for our first real walk since Centre Parcs. Bring it on x

Chew Stick Lollipop

Oh what a wonderful morning, oh what a wonderful day!!!! I’ve got a wonderful feeeeling,and everything is going my way!!!! Ahem, I am in a good mood this morning, I dunno why, but I am all waggy and giddy and I am loving it this morning.  When dad got up this morning, I was so excited I had to jump on dad and give him a hug and then when mum got up, she gave me a chew stick lollipop Excellent!!

Mum says that today is “Give a Film a Chance Day!” which basically means that mum has got to watch a film that she wouldn’t normally and vice versa for dad… I think I am going to call this “Happy Doggy Day” and I am going to be the model pet for the day But does that mean I can’t make pungent doggy smells…. oo er, I might not be able to manage that! Woof Woof!!

 I am deeeeppressed….  I miss the forest My chin has been dragging the floor since we got home. Dad has taken me out for a run this afternoon, but it just wasn’t the same. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE running with dad, but there were no squizzers, just cars and pavements.

Still, it’s not all bad, I got lots of turkey from mum when she was making dad’s tea and I got to sleep next the lovely, warm radiator (which has been on for most of the day). Mum & dad are both going back to work tomorrow after we have all been off for 2 weeks together. I am going to miss them loads…  but I guess I will get lots of tickles when they come back YAY!!!

It’s my birthday today and I am 10 years old, and I am very happy. Everyone is coming around later and we are having Irish Stew for lunch!!
