Hello dogbloggers!!! I would love to tell you that I’ve had a razzle dazzle weekend, but actually it’s been quite quiet. That’s not a bad thing, I’m 11 and a half you know!!!!! I went for a gentle 20 minute run with mum on Friday and to be honest, I struggled to keep up a bit
I think I’m a bit out a practice running-wise and last time we saw Anna (my lovely vet) she said I had a touch of arthritis. oh well…
So this weekend has been about dad training for his trail race next weekend, mum training for her 10k in October and me sleeping & making suspicious smells from time to time. he he he.
But this week is going to be ace as mum & dad are only in work for 2 days, but more importantly and MUCH more significantly, my brilliant cousin Lola-Mai starts school on Wednesday….
Good Luck Lola!!! xxxxx Woof Woof xxxxx
Do you fancy coming for a walk with me next Sunday? Well the Mutt Club April walk is at 11:00 next Sunday and I can’t wait.
If you fancy coming along, click here for further details. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t got a dog – come along if you just fancy going for a walk. It’ll be great.
If you want to ask mum or I a question, please email us at peggy@haydockdogblog.co.uk. Or you can just fill in our contact form.
Good morning dogbloggers, I wondered if I could ask your help. This is my feline friend Tara and she is missing from home. She went missing approximately 2 weeks ago in the Haydock area when her mum & dad moved house. She used to live in Juddfield Street in Haydock and this is where her owners think she might have gone back to.
If you spot her around Haydock anywhere, but particularly either around Church Road (nr to Small Wonders Nursery) or around Juddfield Street – please email peggy@haydockdogblog.co.uk and we can reunite Tara with her worried family.
Thank you xx
Oh well, another day another hospital!! Not ME, my Grandad Dixon. You know I told you all he fell on Christmas day and hurt his knee? He had to go back to the fracture clinic at Whiston Hospital today to see if he knee was actually broken. Did I show you the MASSIVE splint that he had had to wear all week?
When we went to A&E initially the though he might have fractured his knee but it turns out he has damaged the ligaments. So they actually swapped this massive splint for a leg brace and now he has to go for some physio and and MRI scan. Poor grandad.
But on the up side, he has got 6 weeks off work! Yay!!!
OO, did I tell you the other day, we had a lovely announcement on Christmas Day as Auntie Jenny and (Uncle) Rob got engaged!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Guess what too, Auntie Jenny asked mum to be chief bridesmaid!! She might get to wear a fancy dress - (sorry, she TOLD me to be giddy about that!).
I myself am a little bit sad as mum & dad go back to work on Monday and this means I will miss them loads – but we will soon get back into the old routine. xx
So how are you all feeling this morning? We only got up today at 11:30!! As it was a special day/night I got the special privilege of sleeping underneath mum & dad’s bed – which is my favorite, Woof Woof! We had a brilliant night last night at Auntie Jill’s and even made a special video for you…
We did have lots of fun and we would like to say thank you to Auntie Jill & Uncle Richard for the lovely hotpot and things they made (mum told me it was lovely, but she wouldnt let me have any
) But as I was with my pack, I didn’t get too frightened of the midnight fireworks and actually, I just went to sleep under Auntie Jill’s stairs…

Ok well, our plan for today was lamb hotpot with Grandma & Grandad Dixon & Gran Prescott. The problem was , that yesterday Grandad Dixon fell over on the ice and so today my mum & dad took him to A&E at Whiston Hospital
Mum said it was FULL of people with similar injuries
It turns out Grandad has a twisted ankle and a suspected fractured knee! He’s got a massive splint & a fracture clinic appointment.
So after all that, mum & dad kept getting stuck on the icy (ungritted) roads, so had to dig a path out of the ice at Grandad Dixons and then again at home..
I know you are wondering where I was during all this – and the short answer is…. ASLEEP!!
Happy Boxing Day Everyone xx
p.s. wanna see the video that mum made of dad on her new video camera??
Hey there dogbloggers – it’s stillsnowy in Haydock! We are all shattered, as we’ve just come back from nearly a two hour walk down to the canal and as usual, we have got lots of things to show you… starting with our walk route… click here for a link to the map.
Secondly, we also did a little video for you at the start of our walk, wanna see?
Third of all, here are our pictures….

We had an amazing time and we are all suitably shattered and having a zzz – well mum & dad are watching Spooks and I am having a zzzzz Woof Woof!
Fourth of all, do you want to see dad juggling snowballs.. he is BRILLIANT!!
and Fifth of all – here is dad’s very brilliant video of birdy footprints….
All in all, a pretty fantastic day so far – I love Christmas, don’t you? xxxx
I’m shattered! I’ve been for a run this morning with the pack. We did a huntsman loop (about 2.2 miles) and mum was dead chuffed as it’s her first time out since she injured her Achilles tendon in the summer.
Dad always attaches my lead to his belt and off we go. He says I can’t go off lead on runs as we are too near something called “the road” – which I presume is a type of bad doggy?!
Good Afternoon all, how’s it going where you are? It’s gone really dark here as its raining really hard. Dad got up this morning at 6:00am to take me for a walk but we couldnt go as it was SO wet! So I am stuck in the house at the moment staring at mum and hoping it stops raining soon.
So tell me, what are you up today? Anything exciting? My mum is working from home tomorrow as it’s Bonfire Night in the UK and traditionally people set off lots of fire works and around 21:00 in Haydock the sky starts to resemble the Blitz from Word War II! What was I saying…. Oh yes, mum is working from home so I don’t get too scared of all the loud noises and bangs….. Brilliant xxx
Well what you are looking at are some photos of a new cafe in Haydock called “The Old Bank*”. It is on Church Road in Haydock:
