Peggy fighting the sleeps

Peggy fighting the sleeps

Oh dear, I am in the bad books, BIG TIME :-( You know how dad & grandad hung the new door on Sunday (after I wrecked the old one) well I got a bit stressed when everyone went to work this morning and I might have damaged it. When I say “might” I do of course mean definitely.

I have also done something REALLY bad to the Internet cable which involved chewing it so much it broke into bits.

I have been told off because mum & dad have tried everything they can think of to make me less destructive when I’m stressed, but I just can’t help it. :-(

The upshot is, is that dad is having tomorrow off with me whilst the Internet man comes to repair the cable. After that I am having Friday at Grandma & Grandad Dixon’s and then next week I am starting doggy crèche. Dad will take me & pick me up every day and they will look after me all day till hometime.

I don’t know what it will be like, but mum says I will like it and at least I won’t hurt myself.

Oh well, I’ll wait and see how it goes.Woof Woof!

Afternoon dogbloggers…. how’s it going? I am pleased to report that my paw is a little better and the anti-inflammatory drugs are doing their job. I am still limping a little bit, but mostly I am fine. :-)

So, what have we been doing with ourselves so far this weekend? Well yesterday, mum & dad had an impromptu game of balloon/coke bottle tennis….. dad won…. (allegedly!) As for me, I am not really allowed out yet for runs and things, so I have mostly just been minding the house for mum & dad. Grandad came yesterday and went with mum & dad to B&Q in St Helens to get a new door to replace the one I chewed when I was scared of the thunder. Then this morning he has been back this morning and both he and dad put our new door up… what do you think?

I think it looks pretty good, no? Anyway, mum has had a word with me and told that I must NOT damage this door as this is the 3rd door in 6 years and she even said that they were reinforcing the bottom of the door with perspex so that I cannot chew it. Pfft….. they don’t know me and my jaws of steel *does an evil laugh*.

Dad is watching the football from yesterday now and mum is just helping me write my blog as usual, and I am not sure what is happenin the rest of the weekend? If it involves some scrummy food and a little walk… I will be happy. xx

Hello there dogbloggers, Peggy’s mum here just borrowing Peggy’s blog to show you all a little something we caught on camera earlier today. Due to our house been invaded by “Swan Flu”, which is a cross between Swine Flu and Man Flu (and an invention of Peggy’s Dad Michael), everyone was at home today. As Peggy blogged earlier on in the week, we had really bad thunder and she managed to scale a 3ft high baby gate and destroy the bottom half of the living room door in fright.

Since this happened, we have had trouble keeping her in the dining room (where she normally stays when we are out) as she now keeps getting over the baby gate and under the now half door. Until this week, she has never tried such amazing stunts and Michael and I wondered how on earth she got over the gate, as it is much taller than she is. So when we decided to go to Tesco’s this morning for some cold drugs, we set up the camera.

We barely got the front door closed before Peggy’s athletic abilities were discovered…. Take a look at the video…..

I have to admit though, I was pretty impressed…..

image1776759446.jpgI’ve had a rubbish day, I’ve been really frightened all afternoon as there were some big bangs in the sky and them some big flashes of light (which I REALLY don’t like!) I was on on my own as mum & dad were at work and I didn’t know what to do.

I got so frightened that I managed to jump over the baby-gate and then I tried to get through the door. I hurt my paws and gums a bit, but I did get through…,

Mum came home from work, but she didn’t shout* she just cleaned me & what was left of the door up and we all went out to get some garden furniture. I feel bad for making a mess, but I can’t help it, I just don’t like the bangs and lights, they are too loud and lighty. :-(

* over the last few years, we have learned not to shout at Peggy for damage done during the day, as she cannot connect getting shouted at at 16:00 for something that happened at 12:00. To be honest, doggy damage is few and far between these days, she is normally very well behaved, she just doesn’t like thunder & lightening – bless her! Love gill (Peggy’s mum) x

p.s. in other news, we DID get some new garden furniture…. which cheered us all up
