Wow what a brilliant day! We have been up to the Lake District this afternoon to have a picnic with Auntie Jill as it’s hear birthday. We went to Brockhole Park, which is here:
It took us about an hour and a half to get there and then we met all of dad’s family and had lots of food and tickles and walks. Dad even had a game of tennis and footie with everyone and Auntie Alison & Uncle Patrick even had an ice lolly!
But my favourite part of the day was when Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard took me for a walk and I had a little paddle in Lake Windermere… it was ace. As you can see from mum’s photos, I love lounging around in the long grass – maybe I should have been born a cat?! EWWWWW NOOOOOO!!
Anyway, Happy Birthday Auntie Jill xxx Woof Woof.
Oh my goodness, what a wonderful day we have had, but boy I am SO tired!!! Well you know how I told you yesterday that we were going to Pendle today, well we DID and it was amazing
Mum got up first, then dad and we all had breakfast. We were on the road for 9:30 and off to Pendle we went.
We met Auntie Jill & Uncle Richard in the Barley Green Car Park and then we started our ascent of Pendle Hill. For the most part of our walk, I wasn’t allowed off the lead as there are lots of sheep and cows in the surrounding fields as I mighthave been known to go a little bit mental at the odd farm animal
(Allegedly!)
Anyway, our walk started off on the flat with lots of funny stiles and gates to go through and then we got to Pendle Hill itself. It was quite hard going and we had 2-3 stops along the way to catch our breath and have a little drink. My best stop was when dad gave me some dog biscuits anda drink out of my special collapsible bowl. I had been feeling quite tired till that point, but the biscuits and water gave me that little boost of energy and I shot off to the top.
Here is the video mum made when we stopped.
Once we got past the stony steep bit, the very top ridge part was quite green and flat, so mum let me off lead and we all walked to the very pinnacle…. Woof Woof. Wanna see our pictures?

Our walk was doubley brill as Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard got to walk me for a bit, although Auntie Jill did try to strangle me going through one of the stiles!!
We had such a fantastic time, and as you can see from the last picture, I slept most of the way home. The only down side of the day, was that dad BATHED me when we got home claiming I smelt “Doggy”!!! What the woofing heck does he want me to smell like… a cat? *tuts*. But I am over it now, and just revelling in the wonderfulness that was today.
xx
We’ve been for a run, in the sun and it was lovely jubbly
As dad would say “Ran round about, came back”. I was a little bit pukey this morning and mum had to clean it up, but dad was at home all day and that made me feel tons better. But the run was marvellous and I would do that all day every day if I could.
Auntie Jill and Uncle Richard have just left and this was the first time that I have met Uncle Richard. He is lovely and him and Auntie Jill seem very happy, and why not eh
. Although Uncle Richard was made redundant today, so I had to give him lots of cuddles to make him feel a bit better – I hope it worked.
Off for a zzz now while mum watches Hell’s Kitchen – YAWN xxWoof Woof xx

Me
Boys & girls, how on earth are you all? I am wonderful, thanks for asking
Well what an exciting week we have all had. Firstly mum had a little operation last Wednesday and then on Friday it was Auntie Ali’s birthday and mum & dad went to her party on Saturday. Also at the party, mum & dad met Auntie Jill’s friend Richard (and he was lovely). Then yesterday we found some really exciting & confidential news and we are all dead giddy.
Mum is a little bit fed up though tonight as she has been off work since last Wednesday and has to go back in the morning – but hey ho, she says she has a had a lovely week.
Anyway, we are still training and have been out again tonight and done another 3 miles(ish). I am really enjoying it and mum has almost completed her goal of 30 miles for this month! Go us xxx
Hey there dog blog readers, how are you all doing this frozzy cold Sunday? I am wonderful (thanks for asking) and just recovering from a visit from Gran and Grandad Dixon.
Yesterday was also a roaring success as we all got in the car and went to Langdale to watch Auntie Jill and Auntie Alison complete in a 10k race. As it turned out Auntie Jill had got the coughing lerg and didn’t run, but Auntie Alison did in an impressive 53 minutes. The course was supposed to be “undulating” but it was dead hilly!! I could have done it much quicker of course, but I do have 4 wheel drive after all.
Here is mum’s video.
It was a bit wet and cold for me and mum had to “towel me down” with her scarf I was so wet, but we were all together that I didn’t mind at all. Today, mum & dad have been out Christmas shopping and I have been guarding the house. Well… I say guarding, but I actually was sleeping and rummaging in the bin for food
. Anyway, check out our gallery, as much has added some more lovely pictures of me doing cute stuff.
Woof ya later

Weather in Ambleside
Heavy Rain
Rubbish! But mum, dad and I all know that both Auntie Jill and Auntie Alison would fight hell or high water to see us race, so we are going to get on our (new in dad’s case) waterproof coats and battle the elements. It will be an adventure – a wet adventure, but an adventure none-the-less.
On a separate note, mum is chuffed because two good things have happened today, firstly she got promoted and secondly Manchester voted NO to the congestion charge. I have NO idea what either of things are (as they don’t involve food or sniffing other dog’s bums) but mum seems pleased – all good for me treat-wise. Woof Woof!
Love
Peggy

Oh my goodness! What a fab day we have all day and I am knackered! As I told you last night, we have been up to the lakes today (me, mum & dad), specifically to Ambleside. It was a couple of hours in the car, but then we got out and ended up going to loads of nice places with fab smells and loads of other doggies.
The first thing we did when we go there was go to get dad his Christmas present, which was a new winter coat from mum. We went to a shop called Gaynor Sports which dad LOVED and he did indeed get himself a lovely red coat with lots of “indoor pockets”.. apparently, they are all important! Check out the pictures that mum took of us, he couldn’t wait till Christmas and starting wearing it straight away! Why not eh..
After we had got dad his coat, we met Auntie Ali and Uncle Patrick in Rothay Park and we all went for a lovely doggy walk.. check out the evidence below
- Auntie Alison & Uncle Patrick
- Dad & I
After that we went to the Chocolate shop and bought some choccies for later. We then went to Ali & Patrick’s hotel, it was called The Old Vicarage which was lovely. I met a new greyhound friend called Jake and we all sat in front of a lovely log fire and had a cup of tea. Daddy even had jam tart… I could have stayed there all day, but eventually we had to go as mum and dad are picking up Auntie Jill from the airport later, so off we went. I slept most of the way in the car on the way home, but to keep themselves amused, mum & dad made a video.. check it out.
Off for another sleep now, I’ve had the best day…. I suspect so have mum & dad (especially as dad met an Alaskan Malamute called Nanuk!)
Bye for now
x
